How do I see my reading history for digital books?

Answer

You must first have chosen to keep a Reading History. If you have not done this in the past these directions will allow you to save a record for in the future.

From the Public Library homepage, log in to My Account. Once you are logged in, select the Personal Information tab. Then click on Preferences. Check the boxes for Record my checkout history and Show my checkout history.

  • Record my checkout history—lets you specify if you want the system to display your checkout history in the Checkouts tab. If you have selected Show my checkout history and the History tab does not show current activities, make sure that Record my checkout history has also been selected.
  • Show my checkout history—lets you specify if you want the system to keep track of the items that you check out from the library. Your checkout history will not display the recent history unless both Show my checkout history and Record my checkout history are selected.

This history feature can be turned on, and off, however once turned on titles that you check out will be saved to your Reading History. The reading history function is not able to recover titles that you checked out in the past prior to it being turned on.

You can also remove titles from your reading history list, place holds on titles you wish to check out again by clicking on the titles in the list, and email your reading history list. If you ever decide you no longer want to keep your history, you can opt out at any time.
