You can read most library eBooks without Adobe Digital Editions, depending on your available devices:

  1. Mobile devices: download the Overdrive, 3M Cloud Reader, or Bluefire Reader (ebrary) app. Adobe Digital Editions is never required for mobile devices.
  2. Dedicated eReaders: Kindles do not require Adobe Digital Editions. Nook Tablets use the same apps as mobile devices, and do not need Adobe Digital Editions. Nook Simple Touches and Kobo readers do require Adobe Digital Editions to transfer titles from computer to device.
  3. Computers (desktops/laptops): Many Overdrive titles are available in Overdrive Read format, which can be read through your web browser. The Kindle format can also be used by downloading the free Kindle app to your computer. 3M Cloud Library titles use the 3M Cloud Reader app. ebrary titles can be read through your web browser without checkout or download.
