I returned an item to a branch and it belongs to a different library! How can I get it back and return it to the correct library?

This happens from time to time, and we'll make every effort to get mis-returned books back to their correct locations!
The best place to start is with the library branch where the book was returned. Branches will hold these items for a week or so before routing them to the Library's administrative offices.
The Public Library does work with other agencies, such as CNM, UNM, APS, and Rio Rancho Library, to route mis-returned items on an as-needed basis. It can take 8 to 12 weeks for mis-returned items to be returned to their proper locations.
Unfortunately, we are unable to search for individual mis-returned items.
